EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I didn't expect much from the trip. My husband was the one who wanted to see the locks and how they worked. After the trip, I realized how many new things I saw and how many new things I learned, the history of the Northeast and Canada, the detailed building of the canal, the interesting towns I would never have seen and in general, an easy to absorb lesson, pertinent even today. I'm so glad we went!

I highly recommend the Program #13384, especially with the onboard leaders Bista Bull, Leader & Sam Ladley, Lecturer/Historian. Plus Canadian, Evan Price. They "made" the trip. The trip would be quite different without them.

Sam Ladley as historian did an excellent job while standing at the ship's large computer screen with maps to enhance his lectures. He also lectured from the top deck with microphone commenting on sites seen from the ship. Field trip bus travel was short and convenient with fascinating visits often enhanced by their own guides. Fellow participants never complained and were friendly and on time. On "The Grande Caribe," the mid-bracket cost of room gave us outside access for fresh air and a window and easy access to lounge and dining area. Food was marvelous, plentiful, nicely served and with extras like hors d-oeuvres on occasion and wine at the tables on occasion. A dietary limitation of mine was observed in a caring way. Bitsa Bull as tour director was charming and on top of her job despite having to make many changes because of Hurricane Irene.
