Overall a very interesting trip with wonderful scenery, historical and cultural sights, museums and lots of opportunities to take photos. The accommodations were very nice. Energetic participants may want to do some research regarding free time activities (e.g. by acquiring local maps and information) to have options for things to do other than shopping or staying in the hotel some afternoons and evenings. Challenges during the trip include: considerable air pollution in some areas which can be an irritant to breathing and eyes; for vegetarians and those needing low fat diets, food choices can be limited depending on location, since many vegetable dishes seem to be prepared with meat products and cooked in oil.
