This is a 6 night program that includes nightly viewing for 5 nights with emphasis on the stellar cosmos! Daytime, discuss the large number of planets and stellar systems the amazing Kepler spacecraft has discovered. Systems with up to 6 planets orbiting their star somewhat similar to our solar system have now been revealed and we are trying to understand the complexities discovered. We'll even look at a planet that orbits 2 stars, the first of its kind to be discovered. We'll see how the technology now enables scientists to see if there is cloud cover on some of the planets. We'll look at a new explanation for short gamma ray bursts that include neutron star collisions. We'll consider the fate and consequences of a cloud of gas that appears to be nearing the Black Hole at the core of our Milky Way Galaxy.
