Description: The Hotel Ibis Vienna Mariahilf is located in central Vienna next to the Westbahnhof train station, Raimund Theater and Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's largest shopping street. You can quickly reach sites such as St. Stephen's Cathedral and Schönbrunn Palace via the underground lines U3 or U6.

Danube Express Train: Aboard the Danube Express Train, 4 nights
Type: Train

Description: The Danube Express is a private vintage train, a "hotel on wheels" offering a very sophisticated yet relaxing way to travel to the most enticing destinations and to explore exceptional and interesting places.

Room amenities: There are two categories of accommodation on the Danube Express Train. Participants choose their accommodation category upon enrollment. Accommodation category 1: Private bath entire program (10 nights). Train: each compartment features a private bath with shower, WC, heated towel rail, and hairdryer; two armchairs for daytime seating; wardrobe and cupboards; personal safe; and full-length mirror. Compartments convert to two lower beds each evening. Beds are approximately 74 inches long and 31.5 inches wide. The compartment is 83sq.ft. We are sorry, Road Scholar is unable to provide roommate matching services in this category. Accommodation category 2: Private bath at hotels (6 nights) / shared bath on train (4 nights). Train: WC and bath with shower located in each car (shared by up to 13 persons); each compartment features a washbasin, mirror, comfortable seating, and a wardrobe. Compartments convert to two upper/lower beds each evening. Beds are approximately 74 inches long and 29 inches wide. The upper bed is approximately 5.25 feet from the floor and is reached by a ladder. The compartment is 74sq.ft. Road Scholar is pleased to offer roommate matching services in this category.

Facility amenities: All compartments feature air conditioning with individual temperature control, a window that opens, shaver socket (230v/110v), and a personal attendant who will be happy to bring you morning tea or coffee or perhaps a glass of wine in the evening. Please note that there is very limited storage space for luggage in the compartments. One medium-sized piece of luggage/person max. There is storage space elsewhere on the train for additional luggage, but please be aware that you will not have access to this luggage until you disembark the train.
