Far View Lodge: Mesa Verde National Park, CO, 3 nights
Type: Lodge

Description: The lodge is 18 miles inside the Mesa Verde National Park entrance at US 160. (There is a 2 lane highway which climbs the switchbacks from the valley floor to the relatively flat top of the mesa.) The 150 room facility is built on a ridge (8,000 ft elevation) which overlooks a 3 state area. Mesa Verde is the nation's richest archaeological location, with over 4,000 ruins scattered within its borders.
