Tom Bartlett

Tom Bartlett is a Master Bird Bander for the U. S. Geologic Survey and a certified bird bander/trainer for the North American Banding Council. He has banded over 50,000 birds of 200-plus species. He has led bird banding and census efforts at Springville Marsh State Nature Preserve for nearly 30 years and the Lake Erie Islands for more than 20 years.

Lisa Brohl

Lisa Kutschbach-Brohl is chair of the Lake Erie Islands Chapter of the Black Swamp Conservancy, board member of the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center, and founder of the Nature Camp programs. She earned a master’s in environmental studies with a specialty in wetlands from Ohio State University. She has an abundance of educational work experience including work with the National Park Service, as an instructor at the Ohio State University Stone Laboratory, as well as being certified Project WET, WILD, and Learning Tree facilitator. Lisa worked as a biological technician with the U.S. Geological Survey at their Lake Erie Biological Field Station and the U. S. Department of Agriculture's Wildlife Research Station. Lisa was the recipient of the Wildlife Conservation Award for 2010, O. D.N. R. Cardinal Award in 2010, and the Ohio Lake Erie Award in 2013.

Dr. Andy Jones

Dr. Andy Jones is the curator of ornithology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. He is the first person hired as the William A. and Nancy R. Klamm Endowed Chair of Ornithology, and his current research involves the evolutionary history of birds from the Appalachian Mountains, the Andes and the Philippines. Andy received his bachelor’s in biological sciences from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and his Ph.D. in ecology, evolution and behavior from the University of Minnesota.
