6 Days | 5 Nights
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

These instructors are participating on at least one day of one date of this program.

Mr. Doug Weaver

Doug Weaver is director of golf instruction at Palmetto Dunes Resort and a former PGA Tour pro and U.S. Open record-holder. In the 1989 U.S. Open in Rochester, N.Y., he and three others — Mark Wiebe, Jerry Pate and Nick Price — used a 7-iron to make a hole-in-one on the same hole in the span of two hours. Doug has played and practiced with Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Tom Watson, Payne Stewart and many others. Doug’s weekly TV show has made him somewhat of a celebrity on Hilton Head Island.

Rod Thompson

Rod Thompson joined the Palmetto Dunes Resort staff in 2012 and specializes in custom club fitting. Titleist has recognized him as one of the country’s top club fitters six years in a row. Having taught golf for 45 years after turning pro at age 18, Rod can diagnose faulty impacts and swings while creating a plan to fix a player’s swing in a matter of minutes. He is a patient, passionate and popular instructor.

Ed Brill

Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Ed Brill received his golf training from Ferris State University. Ed is Titleist TP 1 Level 1 certified, and specializes in Aimpoint Technology and V1 Video Technology. Ed is also a proficient scratch player. He has taught at numerous golf schools around the country and has given thousands of private lessons. Ed welcomes golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to tour players.
