See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Please note that changes may occur.

William Kolodnicki

Bill Kolodnicki is a Refuge Manager with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and has been stationed at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Maine since 2004. Bill has previously served at the Stewart B. McKinney NWR, Long Island NWR Complex, as well as with the National Audubon Society. An avid bird watcher throughout his entire life, Bill focused his graduate work on colonial nesting waterbirds.

Capt. Andy Patterson

Captain Andy Patterson has extensive knowledge of the coastal Maine and Bay of Fundy marine environment, and of its seabirds and marine mammal inhabitants. He has operated Bold Coast Charter Company for the past 23 years, leading visitors on bird watching and sightseeing excursions through Cutler Harbor. Captain Patterson also volunteers time and resources each season to assist with area seabird restoration and research.

Bob Duschene

As a child, Bob Duschene was fascinated by birds — this interest grew to passion, and today Bob is president of the Penobscot Valley Chapter of Maine Audubon. He spearheaded creation of the Maine Birding Trail, which launched in 2009, and wrote the trail’s birding guidebook. With his wife, Sandi, Bob leads birding excursions from Atlantic Canada to the Florida Everglades. When not birding, Bob is a member of the Maine House of Representatives, where he serves on the Natural Resources Committee.
