Program #2549RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

These instructors are participating on at least one day of one date of this program.

Dr. Fred Pfister

Dr. Fred Pfister’s affection for the Ozark Mountain region is evident through his work and writing. He is the editor of the Ozarks Mountaineer, a bi-monthly magazine that offers a look into the history and culture of the region, and was a professor of English at College of the Ozarks for more than 20 years. Dr. Pfister is the author of the “Insider’s Guide to Branson and the Ozark Mountains,” and “All Roads Lead to Branson,” as well as numerous magazine and newspaper columns.

Judy Domeny Bowen

Judy Domeny Bowen grew up on a Missouri farm where she learned early how to weed gardens, pick up rocks from the field, stack wood and haul hay. An exceptional storyteller with keen knowledge of the history of the Ozarks, she has applied her storytelling gift to songs about the Ozarks — whether singing to her pony on long trail rides or to the cows while rounding them up. A part-time teacher and professional auctioneer, she and her husband live on the Domeny family farm.
