Program #14491RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

These instructors are participating on at least one day of one date of this program.

Donna Granata

Donna Granata is a painter-turned-photographer whose award-winning works have been displayed throughout California and in shows in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas. She founded “Focus on the Masters,” a project that documents contemporary artists and informs the public through exhibitions, lecture series, video biographies and educational outreach. Joy Podger

A Canadian by birth, Joy Podger has lived in Santa Barbara since 1934, and is one of its most enduring and popular interpreters and lay historians. Joy has filled her life with volunteer activities since retiring from a long career in education during which she taught at both the elementary and high school levels. She is a docent at the Santa Barbara Courthouse, Presidio and Santa Barbara Mission, and has been described in the local media as a “Santa Barbara treasure.”

Richard Senate

Richard Senate is a Los Angeles native who grew up in the Conejo Valley of Ventura County. A longtime City of Ventura historian, Richard’s life took a turn in 1978 when, as part of a team of archaeologists working at a historic mission on the Central Coast, he encountered a ghostly monk. This profound experience led him to the study of psychic phenomena. Richard has since visited nearly 250 haunted sites and his investigations include studios, theaters and mansions in and around Los Angeles.

Margery Spielman

Margery Spielman is an internationally recognized environmental and marine artist, lecturer, naturalist and professional diver. An oceanography and scuba instructor, she is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has worked underwater on numerous films. Described as a visionary realist, she exhibits her watercolor paintings in major marine art expos from Hawaii to Paris.

Stefanie Davis

Stefanie worked in the White House Press Office as an advance representative for the Reagan team from 1985-89.
