Judith Amores

Judy Amores was born and raised in southwestern New York where she graduated from SUNY at Buffalo with a dual certification in elementary and special education. She went on to earn her master’s degree in urban studies with a concentration in sociology. Judy’s taught all grade levels, but she recently switched courses and started working with adults and students on educational travel programs. Her learning adventures have brought her to six continents. Her hobbies include travelling, reading, kayaking, theater and opera.

Thomas Giles

Tom Giles is an avid baseball enthusiast and historian who has taught about the game for years. Having moved from Chicago to Sarasota in 1994, the question frequently asked of him is which Major League Baseball team is his favorite — Chicago Cubs, White Sox or, possibly, the Tampa Bay Rays? (Psssst … be sure to ask him.) Tom was a school administrator and instructor for more than 20 years, teaching math, history and English, and overseeing it all as a principal.
