EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.

David Kaynor

David Kaynor is a fiddler and expert contra dance caller. “Contra dance” refers to several styles of folk dance in which couples face each other in lines; they are especially popular in New England. David grew up playing music and took up the fiddle in 1974, then began calling local contra dances around 1980. He has called and taught dancing at many folk schools and music camps from Vermont to California to Sweden.

George Wilson

A talented, multi-instrumental virtuoso and singer, George Wilson's repertoire samples a wide variety of traditional and folk styles. As a fiddler, he has nearly 400 tunes for dancing and listening, and has been popular with contra dancers and concert-goers since the late 1970s. George has performed and recorded with Fennig's All-Star String Band and the Whippersnappers since the mid-70s, and has shared his music at contra dances, festivals and dance camps around the country.

Barbara Green

A self-employed artist and graphic designer, Barbara Green has a great love of films. She has shared her artwork extensively in exhibitions, publications, collections and commissions. Barbara holds a master’s in economics from Ohio State University, and has taught both economics and watercolors at Rhode Island School of Design.

Dr. Joan Glazer

Dr. Joan Glazer received her Ph.D. from Ohio State University, and taught in the Education and English Departments at Rhode Island College in Providence. She is the author of two college level textbooks on literature for children, as well as numerous articles on literature and literacy. Joan spent the 2002-2003 academic year in Norway as a Fulbright Scholar in American Studies. Now retired, she remains active professionally, leading organizations and teaching when the opportunity arises.

Sophia Barsalow

Sophia Barsalow teaches yoga to students of all ages and abilities who are looking to cultivate strength, flexibility, balance, relaxation and awareness. She has spent over 500 hours studying Raja Yoga and Ayurveda. An affection for the outdoors and love of community tie into her uplifting teaching style, which is also influenced by Kripalu, Anusara, and Restorative Yin Yoga styles.
