Megan Vossler

Megan Vossler received her bachelor’s in studio arts from Brown University, and her master’s in visual studies at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her graphite drawings, mixed media pieces, and video works are exhibited nationwide, with recent shows at Franklin Art Works, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Soap Factory, and the Wooster Art Museum in Ohio. Megan has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, and is an active member of the Twin Cities arts community.

Marianne Combs

Marianne Combs reports on the arts for MPR News. Marianne joined Minnesota Public Radio in 1993. Since then, she has worked as a reporter, producer and anchor at stations in Duluth, Rochester and St. Paul. For two years she hosted State of the Arts, a weekly program dedicated to Minnesota's arts community. For five years she wrote a blog for MPR, also called State of the Arts.

David Lanegran

David Lanegran is actively engaged in a career of teaching, research and service, with a focus on geography, historic preservation and urban planning. He has been a professor of geography at Macalester College in St. Paul since 1980, and also served as visiting professor at six universities across the U.S. David served as president of the National Council for Geographic Education in 1998 and also served as Vice President, member of the Executive Board, and chair of the national convention. He has received numerous awards, including the George J. Miller award from the national Council of Geographic Education. David is the author of many books, including “Minnesota on the Map: A Historical Atlas of Minnesota,” as well as 60 articles and chapters in professional publications. He was chief scholar in the production of the hour-long Twin Cities Public Television TV documentary “Iron Range: Minnesota Building America,” which won a regional Emmy in 2009.

Deborah Johnson

Deborah Johnson loves her home, the Twin Cities, and is passionate about unveiling its rich history and culture. Her interests include music, theater, photography and travel — the latter of which helps her survive those long Minnesota winters! An energetic mother of two grown children, Deborah looks forward to the day when she can travel with her grandchildren to some of her favorite countries, including Vietnam, China, India and the Philippines.
