ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I and my friend Mary will be attending the March 8 program. Thought it might be fun to get acquainted with others beforehand.

I'd agree that we can take the mini-vans next to the baggage claim area that don't need a prior reservation. Since I will be checking in luggage, that is the perfect spot to meet and start our adventure.
My email address is MoonBeamBear@aol.com.
I look forward to hearing from you as we can share particulars thru the email.
Have a great evening

Thanks Carolynn! I was looking at Bluebird taxi and it says "reservations available". Then I spotted mbaairport.com whose office is next to the baggage claim area, shows mini-vans and doesn't require a reservation. I talked with them and they said the initial price is for up to 3 passengers and $5 extra for each additional one. Since I didn't know how many people would want to share, I tho't maybe that size vehicle would be better, especially with luggage. I will plan to return my car and be ready to meet you, maybe in baggage claim (?), by noon. I haven't made any shuttle/taxi reservation. If that's what you'd like to do, it's fine with me for whichever company. We should probably exchange emails or cell #s for contact. :-) Look forward to meeting you!

I will be attending the March 1st program. I would be happy to share a ride/cost for the shuttle.
I understand a reservation needs to be made in advance. I was going to make the reservation on 2/20. If you have a reservation already that would be great.
My flight arrives around noon.

Are visitors allowed to bring shells home?
Nancy Bleakley Feb 12, 2015 at 07:51 AM

Of course! You will find it hard to limit the number you keep, so leave room in your luggage.

I will be attending the program starting Mar. 1. Will be returning a rental car to the airport anytime that day up until around 1 pm. Would anyone like to share a ride/cost in either the shuttle vans or a taxi? Looks to me like they both cost the same as it's apparently preset by the county.

I will be arriving Ft. Myers on the 15th Feb between 10 and 12 am. Plan to take one of the shuttles is anyone else arriving in the same time frame who would like to shar a ride.
Mary I just googled ft meyers airport shuttle to get info.

How did any of you find the name of the taxi company to contact ahead of time for the ride from Ft. Myers Airport to Sundial Beach? Does the taxi company agree to a flat rate or just by the meter? Attending program Feb. 8.
