Hi Linda -
Thanks for responding to my post - I'm looking forward to meeting you on Aug 24 - re the Opera, yes I imagine we do need tickets in advance. On Wed 8-26 the are doing The Daughter of the Regiment at 8PM , Thur 8-27 Salome . The last time I checked they had tickets in the rear mez. for $70 . So let me know the range you are interested in and I can try to order tickets on line. Best, Sandra

That's a good price for the rear mez. If you are ok with that either opera would be fine. Just let me know what you need. Sounds like so much fun..

Hi! I've booked the vacation beginning on Nov. 2 and will be arriving a day early. Is there anyone else out there (female, I must add!) who is also arriving a day early and might be interested in sharing the cost of a hotel for one night? Please post a comment if so so we can discuss possibilities! Thank you.

Hello! I'm attending the Tale of Two Cities in Aug 23-30. This will be my first Road Scholar trip and would like to hear from anyone attending also.
Sandra Parness Jul 31, 2015 at 04:32 PM

Hi Linda - I'm also attending the Santa Fe/Taos program 11009 arriving a day early on August 23-30. I've attended many Road Scholar/Elder Hostel programs and have usually been very satified -- and keep coming back. I'm interested in joining somebody who would like to attend the Santa Fe Opera on August 26 - or another date . I attended several years ago when I was in Santa Fe for a conference and it was a memorable experience. Anyhow, looking forward to meeting you. Sandra Parness

Diane Staton Jul 01, 2014 at 01:10 AM

Hi. Anyone enroll in the July 21 Tale of Two Cities trip? I am looking forward to it. Diane
Pamela Phillips Jul 04, 2014 at 01:02 PM

Diane Staton Jul 07, 2014 at 07:43 PM

I have only done one previous Road Scholar - the Chicago Art Museum. I thought they did a good job and I am looking forward to learning lots. Have you had some previous trips with them?
Pamela Phillips Jul 08, 2014 at 07:46 AM

I went to South Dakota/Yellowstone in 2011 and Costa Rica in 2012. Both trips were wonderful! After Costa Rica I honestly felt that I owed someone more money. I just returned from coordinating a student exchange program in Germany for 3 wks, so I am looking forward to having someone else do the work on this one. I will drive up from the Fort Worth, TX, area, spending one night in Amarillo. Pam
