Husband and I are driving to San Francisco for our September 20-25 program. We hope to park in the Sutter St. Parking Garage to save a few $$. Anybody have experience with this? I am wondering if it makes more sense to unload luggage at the Carlton, then park OR go straight to the parking garage and carry our luggage to hotel?

I'm booked on the Oct 11-16 program and have a red-eye return flight just after midnight on the 17th. I've been trying to think of what I will do to fill my time on that last day. I see the hotel will store my suitcase so I'm looking at Viator's afternoon trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito. Any comments or suggestions??

Mary Beth,

I sent you a note but I think it was posted somewher else on this site. When R. S. called you, did the person indicate that there is still another trip being created that includes Muir Woods? There is another one already posted that involves hiking in Marin County. I did not want to take that trip -wanted the five day Signature City one you wanted. I decided not to take it since Muir Woods was eliminated.

My husband and I are going on this trip Sept 14-19, doing the hiking trip in Yosemite , sequoia, and Kings Canyon first Sept 7-12. Would love to hear from anyone going on this trip.

They've added Beach Blanket Babylon and deleted Muir Woods from our May 17-22, 2015 tour. I am so disappointed. I have a call in to RS to find out why.

RS called back and said they will be developing a second separate Muir Woods program which is not available at this time. I did find a tour that will pick you up at hotel and take you up there for 1/2 day. A little expensive but worth it if you only have one chance to be out in San Francisco.

I'm also going then. I might want to see it - it would depend on what else is on for that evening.
