We are Beth and Dale Bargsten from Corvallis, Oregon. We plan to drive from our home to Vancouver, BC. Does anyone have a suggestion of where we can park our car during the trip?

Judy Herrigel May 28, 2014 at 05:34 PM

Hello! I am Judy Herrigel from Seattle, WA and will be traveling alone. I plan to travel to Vancouver on Amtrak leaving Thursday morning June 12th at 10:45. Are there any other enrollees who are from this area or who will be here en route to Vancouver? Any other single travelers?

My neighbors took this trip let year and highly recommend it. However, they had only one rainy day and usually it is the other way around, especially in June. I have had 25 years of sailing experience, mostly in the San Juan and Gulf Islands, but we never made it up to the Queen Charlottes Haida Gwaii). I am really looking forward to this adventure, rain or shine!

Dale and I had planned to drive but now we are looking into Amtrack. Maybe we will be on the train together. Beth Bargsten

I'm Edna Hall and am traveling alone. Haida Gwaii is a dream trip for me...looking forward to the adventure. I'd like to meet fellow travelers.

We're fellow travelers. We're great-grandparents, but we consider ourselves fit for our age. We have sailed a lot.

Ray Bowyer May 13, 2013 at 09:29 PM

We live in Big Canoe, Georgia, and used to live in Colorado. We would love to hear from other participants.

My wife and I are in Longview, WA. Are there any other participants from the Pacific NW?
Vicki Franson Nov 15, 2012 at 08:30 PM

We have signed up and looking forward to the adventure. We are not from the Pacific NW , but hail from Colorado.
Ray Bowyer May 14, 2013 at 04:46 PM

What part of Colorado? We lived in eastern Colorado (Ray) and Colorado Springs (Margie).
Vicki Franson Jun 09, 2013 at 08:02 PM

Ray, I grew up in eastern Colorado (Amherst/Holyoke) and my wife Vicki and I now live in Colorado Springs. We've been busy lately and I haven't been paying attention to posts. We're finishing our packing tonight, and looking forward to a great adventure the next couple of weeks.
