ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I am bringing my 10 year old granddaughter to the July 2th trip. Do we know how many people are in each group?
Deborah Kullby Jun 30, 2015 at 05:01 PM

The July 19-24th trip is full (30) with a waiting list.

Is anyone going on Aug 2nd? I'm traveling with my 9 yr old granddaughter?

Grethel Fisher Jun 19, 2015 at 07:48 PM

Is anyone bringing a boy to the July 26 program? We are bringing an 8 yr. old boy and an 11 yr. old girl. Looking forward to meeting everyone and having fun.

We are bringing our 2 grand daughters ages 9 and 11. Are there any girls that age on the June 28th trip?
Mary Meyer Jun 05, 2015 at 06:10 PM

Your grand daughters will love it!!
Kathleen McGuigan Jun 13, 2015 at 03:07 PM

I am bringing my 11 year old granddaughter. I am sure that she will enjoy your girls' company!

How wonderful!

Deborah Kullby May 08, 2015 at 11:53 AM

Would anyone be interested in sharing a taxi from the Bozeman airport to the Yellowstone Lodge on Sunday July 19th in the morning? The only shuttle leaves the airport at 1:00 and we arrive at 9:45 am from Denver.Debbie Kullby; debkullby@gmail.com

My grandson, 9, and I are looking forward to coming.
Deborah Kullby May 18, 2015 at 05:40 PM

How are you getting there? Flying to Bozemann?
Marilyn Jacobcik May 18, 2015 at 06:29 PM

Flying to Idaho Falls.
Deborah Kullby May 18, 2015 at 10:33 PM

How do you get from there to West Yellowstone Inn?
Marilyn Jacobcik May 19, 2015 at 07:37 PM

I'm driving in.

Our 2013 group included quite a few girls, maybe a half dozen. You can see from my web posting at

I took the trip with my 10 yr old grandson in 2013 and there was only 1 girl on the trip. It certainly isn't intended for just boys but I would check with registration to make sure there are other girls. It is a wonderful program but it was hard for this child to be the only girl at meals and during free time.
Minta Colburn Jan 10, 2015 at 02:14 PM

This is what I worry about most. If there is even one other girl, I think we will be fine. It's just really hard to be the only one of any category that is different. Your suggestion (checking with registration) is a good one.
