Any February 10, 2016 travelers on this trip?
Any advice from prior participants?

My husband and I are going on this tour, from Australia, on Nov 4, 2015. Any other tourist on that trip reading this?

I am now scheduled for the January 10 departure. Anyone else scheduled for this departure date?

Deborah Abrams May 05, 2015 at 03:23 PM

I took this trip in January 2015 and loved it! It was a memorable, once in a lifetime experience. I agree that bringing a water bottle is not necessary since bottles of chilled water were provided frequently. A sun hat and short sleeved shirts are helpful since the southern part of Viet Nam and Cambodia are hot. Pepto Bismol tablets also can be helpful. I had no stomach trouble, but several on my tour did and were helped by the tablets.

Plans change -- I am now scheduled for the January 10 departure. Anyone else scheduled for this departure date?

I just signed up for this tour for February 17 - March 2. Any other early-birds out there planning this far in advance?
I'm also interested in any tips that this year's travelers may have.

Just one small piece of advice--although the packing directions are in general terrific for this trip--you can skip packing a water bottle. In fact you are constantly being given bottles of water. (Yes I know we should reuse, but when you can't refill at the tap, you're going to open new bottles anyway.)

My husband and I are going on the trip departing Feb. 4, and are wondering if there is a list of others who will be on this trip? Sally Hart

We are going on the Feb 11-27, 2015 trip. I see we're in Vietnam during Tet. Is this a good or a bad thing (or mixed)? Thanks.
Carol Selinga Jan 27, 2015 at 10:08 AM

We are going on this trip as well. I have read it is a mix. Some places may close for the day
Carol Selinga Jan 27, 2015 at 10:13 AM

But lots of special activities during this time. We are leaving the day before from Bostonand staying at the Murcure. Anyone else leaving a day early?
Ann Garry Jan 27, 2015 at 11:20 AM

Thanks for your response. We''re arriving the night before at the Mercure, coming from LA.
