Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I am going on the March 22nd program, coming from Pensacola. I'll be meeting up with another RS enrolee who I met on my first program last spring in Georgia.

Is anyone on the Nov. 16 trip planning to stay over on Friday night?

warren Young Nov 01, 2014 at 12:23 PM

Hi. We are coming on the Nov 2 trip (yes, tomorrow), flying from Newark (we live in suburban Philadelphia).

Guidance on actual cab fare and shuttle fares? Is it really $33 per person in the cab? The rules weren't that clear.

For those who have completed this trip, how was the shuttle?
warren Young Nov 15, 2014 at 09:46 AM

This is my follow-up. The cab is the way to go for couples or larger groups - $33 for the first couple, and $14 for each additional passenger. The shuttle is very confusing - it is $20 person one way ($38 round trip is no bargain), and you need the Route 1 shuttle. You have to wait for the right shuttle.
Richard Klink Dec 24, 2014 at 02:59 PM

I think I'll take the cab.

My name is Leanna. I don't know why this site calls me Premium. I'll be traveling with my husband to New Orleans this Sunday. Hope to meet you all.
