Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

To my fellow travelers of last September: I have not forgotten that you wanted the list of the various names and email addresses. Problem is that I have been in hospitals, operating rooms, and rehabs ever snce I returned. The list is at my one home, and I won't be able to get there for at least another two months because of my leg. I'll make it, eventually. When I do, I'll get the material sent to all of you.

Irene, I see your question to me was answered. The logistics were handled with ease You will love this program!! Bob Young

Thanks Bob... I only went to day six and saw that we were overnighting in Brandon. I go with another tour group that is not as accommodating as RS. They cater mostly to fly-ins and don't worry about drivers.

I would like to do this program on June 14. I plan to drive.. however, it starts in RI and ends in VT. Is there someone out there who might be interested in the same dates who would be interested in arranging a shuttle. They could drive to VT to pick me up and leave their car in RI. At the end of the program I would drive them to RI. Or vice-versa.

They drop you off in Rhode Island after the Vermont leg, so you can leave your car at the start and you'll just be brought back to it at the end. (I did this trip last year.)

Thank you... I missed this information in the material.

My wife, Marilyn and I, are attending this program, beginning September 28th and are looking forward to joining others who are enrolled. This is our fourth Road Scholar event and our third New England visit. We are from Lubbock, Texas and anxious to see autumn foliage in its full glory!

Look forward to meeting you. Travelling from Alabama. Anticipating 2nd RS trip and the privilege to experience the beauty of New England.

Watching the spectacular weather forecast for this upcoming trip. We're coming in
Friday for a day of sightseeing on Saturday til we meet up with the September 21 program.

Carole Penzick Aug 11, 2014 at 01:12 PM

I am attending this program on Aug 17 and look forward to meeting everyone this Sunday.

Sheila Douglas Aug 10, 2014 at 09:10 PM

My mother, Mary Smith, and I will be attending the 21 Sept programme. We'll be arriving in Providence just before noon. Will anyone else be there to share a shuttle?
Sheila Bracken Aug 21, 2014 at 10:57 AM

Hi Sheila...My friend, Marsha Smith and I are also attending the September 21 program. We're coming in 2 days early so we can do some sightseeing before the program starts. We want to tour some of the mansions and do a harbor tour. My name is also Sheila (not many of us around), so between Marsha's last name and my first name, we'll be sure to get everyone confused! LOL. Looking forward to meeting you and your mother.
