Of all the trips I have planned for 2014, this one promises to be the most exciting. Franklin and Jefferson are my favorite historical figures. I have started our required reading and visited Monticello this past October. I am sooo ready for July 3. This tall blonde will be eager to meet all my fellow voyagers.
Carole Stevens Jan 09, 2014 at 10:02 PM

You are going to have a wonderful time! In fact... I'm almost considering doing it AGAIN
Estelle Hartranft Jan 09, 2014 at 10:53 PM

To make it even more memorable, I have an English friend who wants to meet me in London the one day we do not have a group dinner. I know my brother and his wife who live in Philadelphia will want to join me there as well. I hope they can tag along with some of our sessions to give them an idea of Road Scholar activities because they have never gone that route.

Sheila Frank. I have used AirBNB before and it rocks.

Shella, I took part in this program in October 2012 and extended in Paris. I wish I'd had your suggestions. Almost worth taking again! Margaret & the program were fantastic! Enjoy!

George Boudreau Nov 11, 2013 at 04:14 PM

I'm George Boudreau. I was the instructor during the summer 2013 voyage. What an incredible experience; what a fantastic group of adult learners!

Road Scholar's staff, including Margaret Biddle and her colleagues in Philadelphia, do an absolutely fantastic job. The sites are lovely, the spaces we visited so memorable. Oh, and there is nothing like doing "office hours" in a ballroom while high tea is being served. Hope to see you all again in the future!

To those participating on this voyage in May 2014. I am a former Paris inhabitant who plans to extend my stay by a week or more after this is finished on May 28. If you are a single female or two who would like to join me in renting a flat, please post an answer and let's talk. I lived in paris for 8 months and attended to Sorbonne in my 20's and love living in my own flat for privacy and savings. Sheila Frank.

Brock Fugate Jun 24, 2013 at 05:47 PM

I am Brock Fugate. My wife Judy and I are
looking forward to this trip. She is a clinical social worker in private practice as a psychotherapist. I'm a retired college professor. Crossing on a Cunard ship is one of our favorite things to do.

Esther Wallach Mar 03, 2013 at 05:39 PM

My name is Esther Wallach, and my husband and I are really looking forward to this trip. This will be a wedding anniversary celebration for us. We would be interested in knowing the other folks, in addition to Judith, Sheila and Carole, who will be going on this journey too.

I would like to take this program/cruise but don't want to have an inside cabin which is the only category Road Scholar will match people in. Is anyone interested in sharing? I am a female.

Sheila Frank Jan 23, 2013 at 01:12 PM

Hi, as a participant on this voyage, I am considering extending my stay in Paris after the 18th ending date. if anyone is interested in joining me in a rental for several days, please answer this message. Sheila F.
Judith Valentine Feb 09, 2013 at 03:17 PM

Are you sharing a room aboard the Queen Mary? I am looking for a roommate.
