Gayle and Les Applegate from Palm City, Florida
We started playing bridge 3 years ago after a few lessons and now play once a week with a small group. We have no points and don't want any but we do want to play better. We look forward to making new friends.

My roommate and I are coming into Jacksonville airport on a Southwest Flight #4195 arriving at 4:50 p.m. I have reserved with A2B transport. There is room for 2 more people to share the van to Jekyll Island. Pat Moreinis Dodge 3/12/2014

Louise and Gary Beck - Hendersonville, NC
We play duplicate bridge with a local ACBL group. We only play once-a-week and do it for the enjoyment of the game. We look forward to improving our bridge skills (hope springs eternal) and meeting new friends.

I look forward to meeting you. I play casually once a week, also, and hope to improve my skills and also learn something about duplicate.

Catherine Sanderson Mar 13, 2013 at 04:24 PM

My name is Cathy Sanderson. I will be arriving at the Jacksonville Airport around 10:30 AM on April 7. I will need to take the shuttle to Jekyll Island. Is anyone else planning to take the shuttle from the airport to the island that day? If so, please get in touch with me, and we could go together. Or if you are arriving at the airport and plan to rent a car, I would be happy to chip in to pay for my ride. Thanks, Cathy

Binger. I'll be arriving in Jacksonville Sat. night and have already called the shuttle company. They have me scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. ride, but I told them later would be OK, too. When I talked to them, I was the only one who had called. I would love to share the ride with you, so call them (the company recommended by Road Scholar). Please let me know what you arrange. It's very expensive unless more people sign up!

Elaine--I am getting up at 3 in the morning to arrive at around 10:30 Sunday morning at the Jacksonville airport. If you don't mind waiting until I get in we basically have two options--right now we could rent a car for $175 or take the shuttle. It would probably be cheaper to take the shuttle because there might be someone who could drop us at a busstop to the airport on the way back. What are your ideas about this. I'm leaving sometime after 3 on Friday afternoon. Let me know soon because the car costs change everyday. on the way bac airport.

Catherine, I leave on a 2:50 p.m. flight for home on Friday, so I'll have to be at the airport by 1:45 at the latest. As for the trip back on Friday, I assume the shuttle will pick us up at the hotel, but maybe not?? I would prefer taking the shuttle because if more people sign up for it, it will be less expensive. Also, we don't have to do the driving! I'm coming from CA. Where do you live? shuttle
Elaine Binger Mar 22, 2013 at 07:03 PM

Catherine, I got a call from the shuttle service that you signed up for it. I'm so glad! If anyone else wants to ride with us, they are picking up Catherine about 10:30 and then picking me up. You can email me at: souptonuts@binger.com

(second attempt to post)

Greetings from Pearl Cohen and Bernie Littman.

We are looking forward to taking our first Road Scholar course

Between us, we have accumulated 172 years and zero master points.

See you at Jekyll Island.

Wow! You're way ahead of me! I play very casual social bridge once a week and am looking forward to getting better at it.
