I hate being a pest! But does anyone know where and when we meet at the airport. We are staying at a motel close by and I know we are supposed to depart from the airport. Many thanks !!! :)
Ben Ianzito Aug 22, 2015 at 01:03 PM

The RS contacts should be in your final packet which you get about six weeks before departure. It will tell you all or who to contact with questions. Hotels and boat have hair dryers. Bring a pair of electricity converter sand you can charge your phone and other tech stuff. Great trip. Enjoy

In today's NY Times (8/19/15) there is an excellent article about the wines and wine making in the town of Beaune where we will be stopping. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/19/dining/burgundy-unesco-world-heritage-site-designation.html

Ann Molison Aug 19, 2015 at 10:52 PM

One more question - are hair dryers provided in our room on the boat and also at the Paris hotel.
Melody Allen Aug 20, 2015 at 02:40 PM

Yes, there are hair dryers on the boat.

Ann Molison Aug 19, 2015 at 10:50 PM

Because we will be walking a good deal I was considering buying a "Fitbit". Have past past participants use one?
Barbara Ringel Aug 20, 2015 at 01:46 PM

This will be my first Road Scholar trip, but I use a Fitbit all the time, so I'll definitely use it on the trip.

Gerald Hooper Aug 08, 2015 at 01:12 PM

What does one need to charge an iPhone on the MS Van Gogh? Power converter? USB port?

Barbara Ringel Aug 05, 2015 at 04:16 PM

My husband & I are going on this trip Oct 2nd. I had posted a question on the social message board but realized I should have posted here on the specific trip site. Looking at the temperature estimates provided, the weather is colder (low 60's) than I anticipated. If anyone has done this trip in Oct, I'd love to hear advice on clothing needed, esp outerwear. Thanks so much!
Elaine Austin Aug 20, 2015 at 07:35 AM

I took a light weight jacket and also raincoat.
Barbara Ringel Aug 20, 2015 at 01:47 PM

Lightweight jacket was warm enough? Layers? Thank you for response.
Elaine Austin Aug 20, 2015 at 03:40 PM

The weather might not be the same, but when I went in October a light jacket over a blouse or tee shirt was fine.

Go where it's crowded. Parisians are all gourmets. But remember, "Chaque a son gout".

Ann Molison May 24, 2015 at 12:49 PM

As we are staying in Paris 3 extra days I have been receiving ideas for what are the "must see" places. Harder to obtain the must eat (cafes). I wouldn't want to do that for our community - as there are way too many to make a choice.
