Road Scholar
Program #3328RJ
17 Days | 16 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

My husband and I are on the October 1 programme as well, but we are going to Spain 6 days early so we can visit Avila, Salamanca and Segovia on our own before meeting up with the rest of the group in Madrid. We will take the airport transfer for the KLM flight on October 2 from the airport to the hotel. Great that RS will provide airport transfers (free) for participants who are not booking their air travel through RS. Very excited about this trip. We've been to Barcelona before but delighted to go back and the other cities will be new to us.

I have never been to Barcelona. My husband and I visited Madrid in 1975 and then travelled south to Marbella, etc.

Elena Stolzer Jul 09, 2014 at 11:51 AM

Am scheduled for the October 1st trip. Barcelona has been on my travel wish list for a long time so I am very excited. Leaving out of Kennedy Airport. From where are you leaving?
Thomas Foran Jul 09, 2014 at 01:18 PM

Already completed the trip...awesome.
Elena Stolzer Jul 09, 2014 at 01:46 PM

Anybody going to fly from Dallas/Ft.Worth on the May 7th tour?

Walter Weeks Apr 13, 2014 at 10:25 PM

Thanks so much for your input, we are excited. Did you manage to go out to dinner at 11PM? How did you like the Tapas.

Maxine Topper Apr 13, 2014 at 10:15 AM

My husband and I just returned. Everything was fabulous. Luis, our program guide was a dream, lecturers, sights and experiences well planned. Loved the art, museums, and especially Gaudi's Guell Park. And of course the Prado and the winery and the food and Dali's castle.....and on and on. Wishing you all a wonderful adventure.
Walter Weeks Apr 13, 2014 at 10:26 PM

See above.

Went on this trip last year. For some reason I keep getting email notice of the posts Loved the trip--wonderful art, architecture, variety. Never would have gone to Cuenca on my own and it is spectacular. Enjoy!
