See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I made a reservation for SPLIT SPECIAL TOUR on Monday, Sept 29 1PM (afternoon free time) at http://www.segwaytoursplit.com 43 Euro (did NOT pay to book) Begin with a 15-20 minute lesson. Then take off up Marjan Hill for the park where, for the next 90 minutes, ride past views of the coast, under the hum of cicadas in the trees. Stop to put feet in the Adriatic Sea at a small beach, visit a beautiful 15th century church that is occasionally used for weddings, past the oldest Jewish cemetery in Europe, which is next to a terrace where you can have a drink in chairs overlooking the city, and take photos against backdrops of Split. Would anyone like to join me?

The more people I tell about my planned trip the more wonderful comments I hear about Croatia from those who have been or know someone who has! Starting to count down the days now...
Susan Levy Sep 08, 2014 at 10:31 PM

Hallie Hackenberger Sep 09, 2014 at 04:32 PM

When are cabin assignments made?
Ruthe Berman Aug 06, 2014 at 08:22 PM

We received our cabin assignments when we boarded the ship. I had requested a specific cabin beforehand (on the deck we had chosen) and that was the one I got. We took this trip in May and it was wonderful! Enjoy!
Hallie Hackenberger Sep 08, 2014 at 09:52 PM

Ruth, what cabin did you want and why? I asked for an upper cabin but would not know which in particular.
Ruthe Berman Sep 09, 2014 at 04:29 PM

I don't remember our cabin number, but it was opposite the gang plank (mid-ship). With the yacht having three levels, the cabins were located below the center deck and on the center deck, with the upper deck having the restaurant area, bridge, etc. We thought being in the center of the deck might make for a smoother ride if we ran into rough weather.

Barbara Bosse Aug 18, 2014 at 04:42 PM

Maxine, I just signed up for the Oct. 4th trip. I will be traveling solo from Seattle. This will be my first Road Scholar trip. I am going to the Cooking in Tuscany trip following this one so will be heading towards Lucca then.

Susan Levy Aug 04, 2014 at 08:22 AM

I also am in Atlanta ,going on Oct 18. Anyone going on that date ?
Karen Nicely Aug 04, 2014 at 09:03 AM

I am a single on the Sept 18-30 Croatia trip and Sept 30-Oct 3 extension. I would like to hear from participants who would like to join me for meals and time "on our own" to explore together.

Wayne Ruhl Aug 04, 2014 at 12:14 AM

Anyone plan to go swimming? Not sure if the water will be warm enough...but it sure looks beautiful and inviting.
Joyce Kinkead Aug 04, 2014 at 09:46 AM

On our May cruise, the water could be said not to be warm enough, but the captain dove in first. Gradually, almost everyone got in the water. Yes, it was nippy but beautiful and refreshing. The ship as flippers, masks (although not in best condition). Unfortunately, there is very little to see underwater. Coral is harvested for jewelry, which is also unfortunate. But the swimming was fun.
Hallie Hackenberger Aug 04, 2014 at 02:23 PM

Oh thanks for that information. The schedule looks pretty full but a dip would be welcome even if chilly! We Oregonians don't have warm seas either!
Joyce Kinkead Aug 04, 2014 at 02:51 PM

Exactly, Bear Lake (Utah) at 6000',where we summer, is always chilly.
