I was always too tired to go out in the evening after marching around London all day. If you decide to go to the theater, I suggest buying the tickets that night.
Judith Callahan Jan 13, 2016 at 05:24 PM

Thanks for the tips.

Sooo many steps (hundreds) to access Underground and Metro

Shirley Nelsen Jan 04, 2016 at 10:22 PM

Forget Kensington Palace if it is part of the tour (unless you are wild about looking at the dresses queen and princesses wore!) Go to the Winston Churchill Bunker museum. Plan on at least 3 hours. Wonderful. I made my own flight arrangements from Seattle, for i was visiting people and extending my stay at both ends. Guide was superlative. I can't recall his name right now. I am a single traveler. Worked very well.

Bunker was very interesting.

Judith Callahan Jan 04, 2016 at 05:49 PM

I have just signed up for this trip in April 2016. Any helpful hints you can share?
Kathy Ray Jan 04, 2016 at 06:41 PM

Oh my gosh I LOVED this program. I would advise, as always for European travel let RS handle your flight arrangements. It will pay off big time if one of your flights gets delayed. The guides on our program were wonderful and both hotels were quite lovely and beautifully located. I am a single traveler and enjoyed time on my own in both beautiful cities.
Judith Callahan Jan 13, 2016 at 05:23 PM

Thanks for the info. I'm getting excited.
Kathy Ray Jan 13, 2016 at 05:43 PM

I love Ken Palace. Different strokes

My hat will be off to anyone with enough energy to go the theatre after marching around London all day. I found the touring as much as I and my group could do.

Shirley Nelsen Sep 30, 2015 at 05:30 PM

I have tried to post this three times. Maybe you will see it this time.
I suggest using the internet to look for reviews of current London theater. In addition, I encourage you and the rest of the tour to go to the Winston Churchill bunker. Not part of the plans, we used free time to do it. Marvelous

Anyone on 10/16 trip have any ideas about what's good in London theatre during that time?
Kathy Ray Sep 30, 2015 at 05:23 PM

Billy Elliot and jersey boys were playing when I was there Sept 4th. The hotel can help you. I would not risk purchasing now because you might not be up for it that night.

John Hitchcock Aug 25, 2015 at 02:26 PM

I'm doing the Sep 18-27 trip and will travel to London two days early. Anyone else doing that? I'be glad for company on some independent exploration.
Paul Blount Aug 25, 2015 at 04:51 PM

Did the trip in July. Dont expect much in the way of English food. My wife calls it survival rations. On your own be sure to go to the British Museum and to Somerset House to see the Courtauld collection.

Kathy Ray Jul 09, 2015 at 06:19 PM

Anyone leaving for the Sept 4 departure from Hartsfield in Atlanta? I thought we might meet up at the departure gate.
