Program #19723RJ
7 Days | 6 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Challenging
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Hi fellow travelers,
This will be my first trip with "Road Scholar".
I will be arriving Phx on the 20th at 1 p.m. and taking the shuttle to Mesa unless someone can offer a ride.
Also I plan to go to Tuscon after the trip from Wed to Fri. Anyone from that area, that could share some info.? .
Looking forward to the fun in the sun.
Diane

I am interested in signing up for this hike in November. I will be traveling solo and this will be my first Road Scholar trip. Any advice?

This is a great program -- and definitely lives up to the "Challenging" label. I have done several programs as a single traveler and always had a great time. The participants are friendly and very inclusive, both singles and couples. This is a small group program so you will quickly get to know everyone. I posted my blog about this program (and others) at http://emknesper.blogspot.com, so hopefully you might find some useful information in it. Please email me at emknesper@gmail.com if you have specific questions. Enjoy your travels!

My husband and I enjoyed this program in February. I have posted a blog about our adventures at http://emknesper.blogspot.com/.

Hello, Looking forward to the hike. I will be arriving at Phoenix airport at 6:30 pm. Any one else arriving at the same time? (late I know)

We trust you arrived safely, Michele, and are enjoying hiking with Mike and Mike!

I don't start this hike until Feb 3 .. I am sure I will enjoy it.
