Would like to hear from anyone who has been on this trip. A friend and I are considering doing this in October. I just got back from a RS trip to Puerto Rico (my first). It was a great trip, but I was a little surprised by how early we got started each day. Breakfast at 6:30 every day! My friend is not much of a morning person, so I'm wondering if things will be on a similar schedule in Ireland.
Candace Hisert Apr 07, 2015 at 02:36 PM

Fabulous trip! However, we had breakfast most days at 8 or 8:30. It was worth it.
Bettie Corey Apr 07, 2015 at 04:12 PM

I went on this trip last October (the early part of the month) and it was wonderful. I think there was one morning that we had to get up early because of the schedule for that day, but most mornings breakfast was around 8. The schedule was more relaxed than some trips; the accomodations very nice; and the guides were superb. Enjoy it!

My husband and I will be going on the trip May 29th. Is a anyone else going a this time?
Linda Patton Feb 20, 2015 at 07:15 PM

I'm going, and a friend of mine, Karen Wensing, is going.
Carolyn Spengler Mar 23, 2015 at 05:00 PM

My husband and I will also be on the May 29 trip. Looks like it will still be pretty cool then.

I am hoping to take this trip this year but would like to find a roommate. Any other woman who'd like to avoid the single supplement, let me know. I really make a good roommate--quiet, courteous, all that sort of thing. :)

We will also be arriving early morning on the 4th, flying from Boston on AerLingus. This will be our fist trip to Ireland and with Road Scholar. Looking forward to meeting everyone! - Robin & Stu

Hi Robin--I think you'll be able to meet up with the "official" Road Scholar transport to Ennistymon if you arrive on Oct. 4, since that's the first day of the actual program. Mike and I are arriving a day earlier, Friday, Oct.3, so we have to make our own travel arrangements from Shannon Airport to Ennistymon. We're looking forward to meeting you, too! By the way, I've heard from Silverbus that their vehicle can transport four people plus luggage, for 60 Euros total, in case anyone wants to share the ride with us on the morning of Oct.3. - Lee

My husband and I will be arriving in Shannon on Friday, Oct.3, one day earlier than the official program start date. I've found a transport service called Silverbus that will take us to Ennistymon for 60 euro; I think this is the total for the ride (not per person), and I'm wondering if anyone else will be arriving on Oct. 3 and would like to share the van ride? (I've written to confirm the cost, but haven't heard back yet.) We're coming from Maine and this is our first trip to Ireland, first trip with Road Scholar; we look forward to meeting our fellow travelers! - Lee

We won't be arriving until early the morning of the 4th so cannot share the cost but look forward to meeting you in Ennistymon.

Anyone signed up for the Enchanting Ireland tri October 3 - 13?

Linda Patton Aug 17, 2014 at 12:01 AM

Anyone signed up for the Enchanting Ireland May 29-June 8, 2015 trip yet?
Susan Bausch Jan 09, 2015 at 03:28 PM

I am seriously considering it. Any change you are looking for a roommate?
Linda Patton Jan 09, 2015 at 04:36 PM

Hope you do go, but I'm not looking for a roommate. Sorry.
Linda Patton Jan 09, 2015 at 04:37 PM

A friend from here in Tallahassee is going with me. Let me know what you decide.
Susan Bausch Jan 09, 2015 at 09:29 PM

Thanks so much for responding. I will keep looking since I don't want to pay the single supplement. I managed to find one for my last RS trip--to Pari s--so I could get lucky. Looks like a great trip, doesn't it?

Candace Hisert Aug 12, 2014 at 02:35 PM

OMG! My husband tells me we're flying out the 19th! That's what happens when two people plan a trip...
