Road Scholar
Program #11573RJ
8 Days | 7 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Anyone going on the Color Country Natl Parks on Sept 7?
Karen Drennen Aug 25, 2014 at 03:44 PM

I am. It's my first trip with Road Scholar. Any suggestions?
Susan Garbarino Aug 30, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Are you going on the Color Country Natl Parks Sep 7 trip? I can't tell from the way the messages are displayed on site.

Carol Ward May 21, 2014 at 04:55 PM

Bob and I are taking our first trip with road scholar next Tuesday May 27 to 3 wonderful places.
Bob Shapiro May 21, 2014 at 05:32 PM

We will see you there.

I am planning another trip this year on the Erie Canal, near Troy, maybe you have some experience? Coming from Key west and Vail, see you all on 5/13!

Marcia Hopple Apr 30, 2014 at 09:26 PM

Two of us from the Troy, NY area will be on the May 13 trip (which you all seem to refer to as May 12). Mary and I are former co-workers and both now retired. We look forward to the hiking and scenery and your company!

We, Charles and Betty Stallings, are on the May 12 trip. We live in Pleasanton and Del Mar, Ca. We have traveled the world and somehow missed this beautiful Area. This is our first RS trip but we also have an inter generational one planned with our 11 yr.old granddaughter in June. Looking forward to meeting folks traveling with us.
Anna Bell Apr 12, 2014 at 06:44 PM

Hi Charles and Betty - I am also on the May 12 trip, so look forward to getting to know you. It is my first RS tour too, but the detailed info so far has given me confidence that this will be amazing. After our winter in Canada I am ready! Anna Bell
Gerald Cutler Apr 12, 2014 at 06:48 PM

Our first RS trip also, after lots of independent travel and recent tours.
Betty Stallings Apr 12, 2014 at 07:34 PM

Anna....where do you live in Canada?
Anna Bell Apr 12, 2014 at 11:02 PM

Hi Betty - I 'm in Kingston, Ontario.

My wife Nancy and I are on this May 12th program. Wondering if there are any bridge players in the group?
Bob Shapiro Apr 10, 2014 at 04:35 PM

We play bridge, but its been a while.
Gerald Cutler Apr 11, 2014 at 03:34 PM

Good. Maybe we'll play if we have energy after hiking. Looking forward to meeting you.

Bob Shapiro Apr 01, 2014 at 01:14 PM

I last visited this area about 50 years ago, and I want my wife to experience the beauty.
