It's been a lifetime since high school when I last sang so I am somewhat shaky on reading/sight reading music and it takes me awhile to learn the parts. Does anyone know if this will be a problem? Is it possible to get digital recordings of the parts for me to get up to speed before we arrive? (I apologize for posting here but can't figure out where else to ask this question.)

Nancy, I would not worry about not having sung recently. I have attended a number of this type of program, both Road Scholar and elsewhere. Participants range greatly in ability from not sightreading to having had vocal training. Normally, you will get the music in advance so you will be able to work on it on your piano or with a friend who has one. Hope to see you in March at St. Simons.

Hello! I am flying into JAX and renting a car. Arrival on 3/9 1:40 pm [if all goes well lol!] Would welcome companion[s] and share cost. My email: claudiavolano@gmail.com

Is anyone taking a shuttle to the JAX airport? Or did someone rent a car & can I share expenses for that day to the airport? Thank you.

Is there any way to get an MP3 or CD of just the alto parts for the music? Thanks.

Hi Betsy,
I've called A2B and made a reservation. I'll meet you and Gail at the baggage claim. Can't wait!

Betsy Allen Feb 06, 2013 at 09:43 AM

Rahel -- Let's meet in the baggage claim area. We are to call the van company once we have our luggage. You should call A2B Transport now - 912-223-3271 - to reserve a seat. Tell them you are traveling with me and my friend Gail.

Rahel O'More Feb 06, 2013 at 09:30 AM

Thanks, Betsy, that is perfect. I'll meet you and the van at the designated pick-up space around 12:30.
