Hi! I'm going on the October 10, 2015, trip. I'm a semiretired teacher from Berkeley, CA (flying from San Francisco). I'll be looking for participants who would like to get together in small groups to sample Prague restaurants on the "independent" evenings...and participants who would like to occasionally sightsee or attend events together. Look forward to meeting everybody! --Gary

I'll be flying from Montreal on November 9 for the November 12 program, staying two nights at an Airbnb in Prague. If you are looking for a roommate, let me know. Also, the public transit system in Prague is great, and free for those 70 and older. Bus 119 from the airport connects with the green metro line at Nadrazni Velaslavin. Transfer to the yellow line for Andel, near our hotel.

Going from Boston on Oct 3! Anyone else going?

Allison Jones Sep 07, 2015 at 04:38 PM

Thanks for all your comments. I think I will try to get tickets for opera and sort out the rest when we arrive. See you soon, Toni!

Toni Burnett Sep 04, 2015 at 03:41 AM

Allison, my husband and I will be on the same Prague trip. We are also interested in classical music. I found a web site www.pragueexperience.com that lists many concerts by month and day. Very useful. I don't know if we will purchase tickets from them, but a great source. Looking forward to our trip and meeting you.

We are in the Sept 19 trip. I would like to hear as much music as possible. Should I make reservations for opera? Suggestions for concerts anyone?
Virginia Coombs Aug 31, 2015 at 08:31 AM

I would arange your opera tckets and orchestra tickets ahead of time. But for the concerts in the local churches I found it possible last September to buy those at the door. There are so many opportunities that you can hear something each night! Enjoy
Gloria Smith Sep 01, 2015 at 04:34 PM

Allison, I did the Prague trip in 2012. i was able to buy opera tix through the hotel. Prague has so many music options. I suggest you don't overbook as there is so much to do.
Peggy Todd Sep 03, 2015 at 07:24 PM

I was on the same trip as Gloria. The hotel arranged opera tickets and also church concerts. Although our trip was in November, I don't think you have to do too much pre-booking. Enjoy your trip - it was one of the best I've ever been on!

Is anyone else going on the October 19, 2015 Prague trip?

Carole Friedman May 25, 2015 at 02:15 AM

Hi group! I will be attending the Prague program May 30-June 7 and am interested in taking an in-depth guided tour of Jewish Prague offered by Precious Legacy Tours. Would anyone like to join me?
Vesta Kowalski May 26, 2015 at 03:36 PM

Quite possibly. Do we need to make reservations in advance, or can we discuss the details when we arrive
Carole Friedman May 26, 2015 at 05:37 PM

Hi Vesta. I posed that question to one of our assistant group leaders who will get back to me on it.i'll keep you posted.
Carole Friedman May 30, 2015 at 04:33 PM

Hi again, Vesta. Jan, the assustant group leader, said we can look at the options with her on Monday morning. I look forward to meeting you on Sunday.
