Anyone leaving on the Alitalia 6:30 pm out of JFK Sat? Also any other solo travelers...and last any runners/joggers who might like to run in each city at least once?
Paul Tedesco Oct 29, 2015 at 08:41 PM

We (my wife and I) will be leaving from Chicago in the morning, then through New Jerseyl to Rome. At our age we won't be joining you jogging. But will be looking for a good time. You are the first person to respond. I was hoping that we would meet others on-line before the trip, but no luck. Glad to know you will be there.

Greetings from Rome! I arrived yesterday & am staying at the hotel for our tour starting Sunday. I just wanted to mention that the hotel has shampoo but not lotion & conditioner. I thought the ladies in our group might want to know. ¿¿

Hi Jane,
Neelima Gokhale Oct 22, 2015 at 02:31 PM

Hi Jane, I was thinking about you and saw your post. Please let me know if you want me to bring anything from here. Let me know the brand and I will be happy to get it for you. Thanks for info. How is the weather?
Jane Patton Oct 22, 2015 at 05:54 PM

Oh thanks! I'm fine. The temp is colder than I expected from watching forecasts. I wish I brought 1 warmer sweater. An excuse to go shopping?

Is an adapter needed in order to plug American electrical devices into the Italian hotel electrical sockets?
Paul Tedesco Oct 02, 2015 at 02:54 PM

Yes an adapter is needed. It need to convert 220 volts to 110 volts and to change 50 cycles per second to 60 cycles per second. Warning: do not use with power tools, computers, fax machines, tvs vcrs sterios. It is good for charging iphones, ipods, camera/camcorder chargers, shavers, tape recorders....
Florence Rigby Oct 03, 2015 at 02:23 PM

Thank you.

Hi everyone! It's fun to meet some of you online---and soon, in person. I understand from Road Scholar our group will be about 30. I'm a recently retired college professor traveling solo this time. I'm arriving 4 days early in Rome (to get over jet lag!) and will meet up with a friend there for those 4 days. My biggest challenge: packing light! Buon viaggio!
Carla Laseter Oct 19, 2015 at 07:24 PM
