Maria Orefice and David Lundberg are making their first RS trip, but not first trip to Italy. We're both retired from UCLA and have had eclectic careers. We live in the Los Angeles area and are meeting our friends, Carol and Tom Leonard, in Turin. We look forward to meeting our fellow travelers and having many delicious experiences together.

Hi my name is Kathleen Fluhart and I am from Lexington, KY. This will be on my first Road Scholar trip. I will be arriving on the 12th and am interested in finding someone else who is arriving early to pal around with.

Tom Leonard Aug 26, 2015 at 05:32 PM

Tom and Carol Leonard are making their first trip to this part of Italy with their first journey on Road Scholar. We are both retired, he from a career at the University of California, Berkeley, she from a career at the University of California, San Francisco. We live in Berkeley.

Me again. I'm getting very excited about this trip. I hear that there are 23 of us. Who else is going?

A bit about me. This is my 4th trip to Italy - my first to the North. And this is the first tour. I've always traveled with a mate or friend. I'm arriving a day early to get acclimated and wander around a bit.

I look forward to meeting you.

HI Linda, I too am getting to Turin early (on the 12th) so I can look around. They have a hop on and off there which can help a l ot with getting oriented to the city. I am an acupuncturist who lives in KY.

This will be my first Road Scholar trip in October. I'm flying out of Boston. Planning to go a day or two early to acclimate so I can enjoy every moment of the trip. Who else is going?
carol fenwick Jun 01, 2014 at 10:47 PM

I am. What airline are you using out of Boston?
Linda Goldstein Jun 01, 2014 at 11:22 PM

Delta. I'm leaving on Saturday, Oct 18. A day earlier than the scheduled trip.
carol fenwick Jun 03, 2014 at 12:52 AM

I'm still figuring out what city to leave from since I live on West Coast.
Linda Goldstein Jun 03, 2014 at 09:22 AM

Ah...so you have options.

Vickie Robinson Apr 04, 2013 at 12:02 PM

Don't miss the April 4 (on line) issue of Independent Traveler rates Turin as one of the "12 Delicious Destinations for Foodies".
