See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Has anyone who uses a walker done this trip? Are there steps on the boat?
Gail Fisher Oct 23, 2015 at 04:05 PM

Oh, yes, there are fairly steep steps on the boat. It has three decks, and you might be able to get on the main deck where the lounge and cafeteria are, but there is another flight of steps down to the dock at each place where the boat stops and you get off.

This afternoon we received from program planner at Road Scholar3 emails, in 1-minute intervals. Second message 'recalled' the first; third message was the same content as the first. Please tell us clearly what you need from us. For now, we will disregard all three messages.
Thanks! Claire Alkire

Re-reading the program details this evening. It appears the same activities are scheduled for Day 3 & Day 5. If we are traveling down-river, how can that be accurate?
Someone knowledgable, please reply with explanation.
