June and I are taking this trip on April 30. Has anyone looked into what additional operas, concerts, shows etc. which might be scheduled on open evenings.

Dorothy Healy Oct 06, 2013 at 02:54 PM

To those going to Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden, you'll be able to find all kinds of performances by going to Zitty Berlin online. There's a web version as well as a print version. The group that did the Classical Germany program in June found it very helpful. It was a wonderful experience and I know you'll have a great time. If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them. Dorothy Healy

My husband and I are interested in meeting other guests the Oct. tour. We are also interested any more performances.
We purchased tickets online for La Traviata at the German State Opera, and have ordered Ballet tickets in Dresden thru Irmgard. Any other ideas? Barbara Riddle.

We are trying to get information about other musical options during our time in Berlin inparticular. Has anyone had any luck in contacting Irmgard or anyone else connected with this trip. Judith fetterley

Try on line at http://www.berliner-philharmoniker.de/en/ for events at the Berlin Philharmoniker. We just returned from this trip and were able to purchase tickets for an organ concert and another event in addition to the Berlin Philharmonic concert which was on the schedule for our group. Enjoy! It was a wonderful trip.

I would like to get tickets in advance for the Pergamom Museum since i understand one can wait in line for over and hour. Tickets are for timed entry so I am not sure what time to purchase. Anyone able to shed light on this. I think we will have most of the day September 24 so maybe anytime that day after the Mueseum of music Instruments visit.

I'm interested in connecting with other persons going on the Sept 19-Oct 1 session of this program.

As the departure time grows closer, I'm concerned that the Elbe flooding might change our program in Dresden area. Does anyone know the status of our hotel in Dresden?

Martin Morgenstern Jun 10, 2013 at 11:19 AM

Dorothy, Elbe-wise, everything is almost back to normal again. Looking forward to seeing you, best regards from Dresden! Martin

I will be a partner for activities in schedule free times. Like museum visits, "real" German meals.
