just curious to know if anyone else is leaving from boston to London on this upcoming trip to wimbleton?

Helen Wall Mar 11, 2015 at 06:22 PM

I went on this trip last summer. We had a great time but there was very little free time, usually in the evening. No courts at our hotel last year.

John McNult Mar 11, 2015 at 05:05 PM

Does anyone know if there will be an opportunity to play tennis in the "free" time?

John McNult Dec 02, 2014 at 06:53 PM

Hello All, My wife and I are looking forward to the RS Wimbledon Trip, and meeting all of you. We are long time tennis players and still manage to play doubles quite regularly. We have enjoyed attending the U.S. Open and other tournaments, on our own. This will be our 1st Wimbledon trip, and 1st guided Tennis tournament trip.

Pamela Myers May 27, 2014 at 03:39 PM

Looking forward to tennis in Wimbledon. Been to the Australian Open, and watching tennis in Paris at dawn (MN time). Anyone interested in "Les Miserables" on Sat. nite?
Diana van den Boogaard May 29, 2014 at 09:52 AM

Yes I would love to see Les Mis. Do you know if Alfie Boe is still playing Jean Valjean? He's fantastic
Pamela Myers May 29, 2014 at 04:36 PM

No, I don't know, but the reviews are great. Tickets on-line are 86 pounds. Wonder whether we should chance half-price tickets at Piccadilly Circle. Your thoughts?
Diana van den Boogaard Jun 17, 2014 at 10:18 AM

Hi Pamela Want to ask the program coordinators for help when we get there? Maybe they can help with the half price tickets.

Ed Farmer May 15, 2014 at 11:05 AM

This is our first trip with RS. And our first trip to Wimbledon. I pay tennis 3+ times a week and we have been to the US Open and The Australian Open. Mary and I look forward to meeting all of you.

Diana van den Boogaard Apr 22, 2014 at 11:08 AM

Hello I am a single coming on the trip and a huge tennis fan. It's my first Road Scholar trip. I will be staying a few days later and visiting a friend. Is anyone interested in going back to Wimbledon for Friday June 27 or Monday June 30? I would be. Or sightseeing in London. Can't wait!

Helen Wall Apr 15, 2014 at 11:09 AM

I am going on this trip. I have always wanted to go to Wimbledon. I went to the US Open with Road Scholar a few years ago. I still play tennis twice a week. My tennis partner Jean will be my roomie. I have stayed at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel and it is a nice modern hotel. If you are coming in before the program, do not take the Heathrow Express. Take the Picadilly Line directly to Gloucester Road Station.
