I will be getting in to SEA-TAC at around 10:30 am. Anyone else that early? Anyone coming from DC? How about clothing: any need for heavy or dressy stuff?

i'm coming in from CA a little after noon and will be contacting the hotel in Renton for a shuttle to pick me up. since you are coming from cold country, probable a warm sweater/jacket, something to keep your ears warm. you might check the forecast for Friday Harbor for the next few days to get a feel for the weather. rain is always in the wings in the pacific NW, so something to keep you dry. dressy clothes not mandatory unless you want to. i travel VERY light so just change shirts from time to time

Laura and I are also going on this trip. It will be our first with Road Scholar. We were wondering about the biting insect population on the islands. Is this a problem for our trip?

I, too, am going on the 25th anniversary trip to the San Juan islands at the end of Sept. I called around and learned that the Hilton Garden Inn has a shuttle that comes to the airport and will pick us up. Upon arrival at SEA-TAC i was told to find my way into the garage and look for islands 1 or 3. Find the Courtesy phone and dial 30. the wait ought not to be very long as the miles to the hotel is less than 10

Hello, Is there anyone out there planning to go to the San Juan Islands?
I hope we can share a way from the airport to the hotel. Shirl

Hi, I am going on the same program and I thought they would pick us up as air is included in the cost of program. Guess I better check it out. We can keep in touch.
