Thanks keith. I could not rem. well enough to give Della Shane an answer! I think I do rem that also.Della, have a wonderful time. I was one of the group fr last Dec cleaning the letters for the M. Moe. Nice group of people. then we spent 5 days on Kauai. Naomi hanlon

When I've done this program before we've taken an overnight bag and valuables and left the rest at the hotel. The hotel then places bags in your room upon return the next day. The room may or may not be the same one.

Della Shane Sep 26, 2014 at 11:58 AM

When you stay the night on the Mighty Mo, do you leave the majority of your 'stuff' and keep your room at the resort?
William Pierson Sep 28, 2014 at 04:02 PM

Yes, Della, Keith is correct. I would add that you'll want to take towel and soap. If you ask at the hotel desk, they usually will let you do that. Otherwise, it'll be up to your own creativity. Also, you'll have to hope that there is warm water aboard. That's not always the case. Bon Voyage!

I'm signed up for the January 29 edition. This will be the 5th time I've done this. If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer. Cheers, Keith

Hi Keith!! I'll be thinking of you as you're polishing that brass!! Great memories of the program in 2013! Elaine Doyle

Keith...do you have any suggestions for how to spend the free day. I'm signed up for the December 2014 program and it's the first (and probably only) time I've done the program...or been to Honolulu. Thanks
Keith White Sep 15, 2014 at 04:37 PM

Lots of things to do in Honolulu on free day or in the evening. Your hotel is a block off the beach, so there is swimming, snorkeling and surfing lessons if you're game. The aquarium is a short walk up the beach. A short bus ride away, or an easy walk is Diamond Head. That's the massive volcano you see in all the pictures. You can walk to the summit where the view is nice. Not a very hard walk. The Bishop Museum is a bus ride away but worth the trip if you are interested in the history of the Hawaii royalty. A shorter bus ride away is the Iolani Palace which was where the Hawaii royalty lived and ruled. There are fine tours there. Other sites/sights might be the museum of Aisian art or the smaller Bishop Museum near the Hawaiian Village hotel complex. Lots more as well!

Thanks Keith...Is there any reason to make decisions/reservations for anything before actually arriving for the program?
Keith White Oct 22, 2014 at 03:18 PM

Sorry to take so long to respond. No, not really, unless you're planning to eat at a popular restaurant on the free evening.

Booked the Dec 201 program
like to hear from anyone that has booked
Sandi Gerhan Apr 11, 2014 at 09:49 AM

I'm booked for the December 2014 program. My traveling companion and I will be spending 5 days in Maui before arriving in Honolulu on Dec 4. We have not committed to any activities in Honolulu as yet for our day off.

Hanlon Naomi Dec 30, 2013 at 06:32 PM

Just got back fr the Might Mo Dec 18. Yes,get there a day ahead to rest a day bef t program - or your flt gets delayed like ours did so we missed a day of t prog. Since u are traveling so far, fly to another island for a few days after. We went to Kauai. Don't bring any dressy clothes; very casual. Climb Diamond Pt. See t sights. N. Hanlon

Sandi Gerhan Dec 30, 2013 at 05:31 PM

Is anyone signed up for the December 2014 program? Haven't been able to schedule airfare yet. Still trying to figure out if I need to go in a few days before or stay later. Any suggestions?
Claudia Winowich Jan 12, 2014 at 05:22 PM

Claudia Winowich Jan 12, 2014 at 05:23 PM

I have signed up for 12/4/14-12/11/14. I'm in Olmsted Twp, OH. I plan on going a day or 2 earlier, then spending 5-7 days seeing some of the other islands.
Claudia Winowich Jan 12, 2014 at 05:24 PM

Sandi Gerhan Jan 14, 2014 at 09:24 PM

Claudia...Very Interesting...I'm from Avon Lake OH. I was looking at airfares and staying a few extra days hikes the airfare up significantly...at least today/. Maybe we could connect.
Claudia Winowich Jan 15, 2014 at 09:50 AM

Sandi, Lets get together and talk. I made my reservations for 2013 Rose Parade months early and want to do that for this trip. Lets talk. Claudia
Sandi Gerhan Jan 15, 2014 at 04:22 PM

That would be terrific. I've sent a "friend" request. I think if you accept it, we can get contact info and physically get together.
Sandi Gerhan Jan 18, 2014 at 06:04 PM

Claudia...I hadn't heard back from you and clicked on your "name". It says it has been deactivated. Send me a message to figure out how we can connect.
