My husband and I are on the March 3 trip. Would like to know how strenuous this trip is??? Is there lots of climbing involved?

Judy Williams Feb 05, 2016 at 10:12 AM

Don't worry, this is a program where everything is included except for extra non-water drinks and any shopping you do. Julio and I assume the other guides, will have water on the bus, will take you to get money, and provide for all your needs. Street vendors and everywhere we went took USD. I took cash, exchanged some in Guatemala. Others did use ATM's and credit cards. I returned from this trip last Thursday and would love to do the trip again! You will see and learn so much about the Maya past and present. Julio, local guides and the specialists are all a wealth of information. I've read quite a bit and visited several Maya sites, but Tikal and Copan were still on my list. Each of the other sites was also interesting and had a special something. The weather was great. Mosquitoes love me, but there weren't many around. I came home with three bites. Hope you like this trip as much as I. Enjoy and have fun!

Thank you, Judy. We are very excited for our trip in March. Your comments are much appreciated.

Carolyn Balmer Feb 04, 2016 at 11:31 PM

Any concerns about the Zika virus?
Linda Bartlett Feb 05, 2016 at 07:46 AM

We leave on March 3. From what I have read and heard, the virus is not a big deal unless you are pregnant. We will cover up and use repellent.

Howard Ellegant Jan 19, 2016 at 11:58 AM

My wife Carol, and I are leaving for Belize tomorrow (Jan 20)...just wanted to make sure we didn't get unduly delayed by a Chicago January snow storm! Look forward to meeting all of you on this trip! Buen viaje!
Linda Bartlett Jan 19, 2016 at 05:27 PM

We had to postpone our trip as I need gall bladder surgery.n we are so disappointed but relieved this happened today and not while we were on the trip. We rescheduled to early March. I look forward to hearing your details upon your return.

Linda Bartlett Jan 18, 2016 at 11:59 AM

We leave onJan. 21. Are wondering about access to bottled water. Will we need to purchase water?
Fred Ris Jan 18, 2016 at 12:07 PM

Linda, you will need to be drinking bottled water throughout. And you will be provided plenty of it. You will even have to brush you teeth with it. Pack a supply of your preferred anti-diarrheal anyway!.
