Anyone on the Sept 19 departure?

Susan Rattray Aug 04, 2015 at 11:26 PM

NY Times travel sect.Sun.July 26 has p.5 devoted to suggestions for 36 hrs. in Siem Reap, Cambodia-might be interesting to those who have extended their trips beyond RS time. Possibly you, Serena

Thanks for the reminder! I haven't really looked at it yet. Life is too hectic right now. I'm flying in and out of Ho chi Minh city as it is MUCH cheaper, then flying up to Siem Real a day or so early. I may be really relieved to have Roads Scholar to take care of all the details. Always advantages to different, ways of travel. Will be great to meet everyone.

I'm on the Sept. 11 trip and the north Vietnam extension. I will have an unknown roommate and hope she is good humored. I'm from CT:a reader, sailor, cook, writer and marketplace explorer. Susan

Me too! Well, I'm going on 9/11 trip and have unknown roommate. I'm leaving 9/4 and returning 10/8. Not taking extension though. I think it will be great trip. I live in Phoenix area.

I'm going on the September 11 departure trip. Although I'm going a bit earlier . . . and staying later.

These discussion boards seem rather . . . umm . . . anemic.

Any people who have taken the trip have any tips they wish they had had before they went?
Barb Milligan Jun 19, 2015 at 12:59 PM

I went on this trip one year ago. It was my first Road Scolar trip. I loved it.Going up the river
