We are going on the 1/16/15 trip. Anyone else signed up for this date?
We are not sure what size suitcase to take. Any ideas from past travelers?
Richard Smith Sep 10, 2014 at 03:38 PM

We each had a carryon roll-on and a good-sized daypack.
Marilyn Saunders Nov 12, 2014 at 10:52 AM

Take a light daypack for your water on hikes. Medium sized suitcase should work, though I checked a carryon sized bag and used small pack. Laundry at Selva Verde good... less expensive than Monte Verde.

My only regret was not taking a Costa Rica Bird book and my own set of binoculars

Jean Sebold Feb 06, 2014 at 01:04 PM

We're going on the Feb 10 program. Anyone else?

Richard Smith Jan 19, 2014 at 06:04 PM

Margy and I arrive ~10 p.m. Monday. Dick Smith

Christine Glitman Jan 15, 2014 at 03:49 PM

Is anyone arriving late in the evening for the 1/20 program? I am due in at 10:30 and would like to share a taxi.

We're going on the Feb 10-23 program and looking forward to it. It's only a month away. Would love suggestions from previous participants about clothing to take (or not take). We are traveling light with carryon only. Weather in Panama is going to be very different from weather in Costa Rica, I imagine. Any suggestions?
Joanne Snead Jan 10, 2014 at 11:03 AM

We went on this trip in Nov. and LOVED it!!! We found the weather to be the same for both countries. Layers are best and I found that having a couple of 3/4 length sleeve shirts to wear over tops were the best. We had light laundry done for us in Selva Verde ($2/lb) and fared just fine. Have a fantastic trip!.
Jean Sebold Jan 11, 2014 at 12:32 PM

Thanks for your info. I'm surprised to hear you say that the weather was the same in both Panama and Costa Rica. Isn't Panama at sea level and the Costa Rica portion of the trip at 4500'? Seems as though the weather would be dramatically different.

would like to know others going 3-3-14 to 3-16-14.

Joanne Snead Oct 13, 2013 at 09:51 AM

We are going on this trip on Nov. 4 and are looking forward to meeting other participants. Also we would appreciate any tips from others who have already taken this program.
