Does anyone have recommendations about trekking poles? thanks Tom D

My wife and I are participating in the trip 8/24-29. We'll be in the swan valley a few days beforehand, and wondering if there are any other fly fishermen who'll be in the area and might like to split a day trip, maybe a float trip on the south fork of the snake. Probably 275 + tip... also will be experimenting on my own a bit.

Also, trekking poles - any recommendations? Thanks Tom D

I am driving from Yellowstone to Grand Targhee on Aug. 18. What time is your flight? Also, I have a compact car so luggage space may be limited.

We are going on the Aug. 18 program. Is there anyone driving a car from the Airport to Grand Targhee on that date? Please RSVP. Jean and David wilder

I am curious as to how to secure transportation from The Inn at Jackson to Grand Targhee on 7/28. Any ideas?
Helen Sternheim Jul 19, 2013 at 11:12 AM

The program details talk abut group Taxi n the return. So I am guessing an expensive taxi ride.
Victoria Jul 22, 2013 at 12:35 PM

2 of us are in on a shuttle from Jackson Hole Airport to Grand Targhee. Call Cowboy taxi if you want to join us and share the cost. I think it is leaving the airport around 2:00, this Sunday, 7/28 but I'd ask them.

Victoria Jun 28, 2013 at 12:20 PM

Is anyone going on this trip on July 28, 2013 who would like to share a taxi from the airport? I'm arriving at Jackson Hole at 12:35.

Hello Victoria,
Marcela Roberts Jul 03, 2013 at 03:41 PM

I'm arriving that day too and was informed that we need to contact the cowboycab for a group rate on the taxi
Victoria Jul 09, 2013 at 05:07 PM

I went on the Grand Targhee home page, and they had dozens of taxi places, so I guess we aren't locked into them. I tried to call, but got no answer. Which ever we use, I'm glad to have someone to split the cost with!

This program has good ratings, but no reviews. Anyone care to comment on their experience with it? How was the hiking--too slow, too fast, too short, too long? What about accomodations?

Margaret Klein Jun 04, 2012 at 09:09 PM

Would like to share a ride from Jackson Hole Airport to Grand Targhee on July 29 -- I arrive about 7 p.m. I'm also hoping someone else has an "early" flight on Friday August 3 -- mine leaves Jackson Hole at 9 a.m. Looks like I may be paying the $140 taxi fare . . . Or is anyone thinking about a rental car? Would be glad to share costs.
