See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I'd really like to go on this program but have a little problem with motion sickness. Can anyone tell me about the at sea parts of the trip?
Barbara Ellis Feb 04, 2015 at 07:03 PM

When I went on this trip we didn't go in open water however they go where the whales are so could go out farther. My remedy that always works is take two ginger capsules just before or when you get out on the water.

Sea was fairly calm on our September whale watching trip. Of course the wind could blow. Barbara's suggestion may help.

Not much activity on this discussion board, but we just returned from this fascinating trip. We saw lots of bears and lots of whales. Certainly a variety of places visited too.

Has anyone taken this trip? I am thinking of the Sept trips because of the possibility of seeing grizzlies from a viewing platform. Has anyone taken this trip with the bear viewing platforms?

Many thanks! Linda

Changed my mind-I'm staying an extra day after to do this-anyone else staying after?

Is anyone signed up for July 2014 trip going to make a special trip to Butchart Gardens? I'm planning on going before program starts. Barbara

Hi Lisa. Just came back to check if anyone had posted something. So did you sign up? Where are you from? We are coming from Pennsylvania and were out doing the whole Pacific Northwest many years ago. Love the area.
I don't know about you but I'm hoping for lots of whales, bears, and eagles!
Yes, my first name is Carol, but my friends call me "Wick" so I don't answer to "Carol" anymore. Actually that's not the whole truth....my friends call me Wacky Wick. If we meet, you'll understand.....

I am signed up for the 9/2/12 trip. Is this the one you are attending?
