Program #16225RJ
19 Days | 18 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Easy
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

We are Delmar Smith and Nancy Zuber and are enrolled April 15,2015 program. We live in Roseville, Minnesota (suburb of St Paul). Anyone else going to Hawaii at that time?

Our program in Marh27 to April 15, 2015 - Del and Nancy

Warren Nordgren Oct 05, 2012 at 05:51 PM

We are Dora and Warren Nordgren from Portland Oregon. We are on the Feb 25 program. This will be our 25+ program. Looking forward to meet fellow travelers. Have enjoyed many years attending RS programs. See you all in SD.
Richard Brumleve Oct 05, 2012 at 09:54 PM

Warren: Unfortunately RS does not put the year of posting on the date and they don't seem to take down old postings. My posting should have been dated Sep 24, 2011. We had a wonderful cruise, by the way.

Richard Brumleve Sep 24, 2011 at 07:33 AM

We are Richard and Linda Brumleve from Abingdon, Virginia. This will be our first visit to Hawaii. We love the cruising part of a cruise and are looking forward to the several days at sea. Maybe our fellow travelers might introduce themselves her. Otherwise, see you all in San Diego.
Warren Nordgren Oct 05, 2012 at 05:50 PM

You will enjoy stopping at all the ports in HI. We have been there several times over the years. Was in the islands this past Jan for our 50th anniversery. Look forward to meet you both.

John Pollock Oct 11, 2009 at 06:00 PM

We are John and Marilyn Pollock. We live in Sequim, Washington on the north Olympic Peninsula. We have been on Elderhostel programs to China, the Grand Canyon and Alaska. We are looking forward to making new friends on the Hawaii cruise. This will be our first visit to Hawaii.

I forgot to mention in my first posting that we are signed up for the 2/14-3/02/10 cruise.

Hello WA residents! I'm signed up for the Hawaii voyage in Feb. also. Lived in Enumclaw & Kent for 30+ years, but moved to Salt Lake City area 2 years ago to be closer to a da & grda. The cruise sounds great doesn't it? I'm not having very good luck "posting" on this site, so hope you receive this!

Regarding the newly revised name: I like Road Scholar MUCH better than "Eldehostel" which always involved explaining to folks that no, it's not just for "Old people who stay in shared rooms" with no extra benefits! What a misconception! The new name is classy, relevant, and mysterious at the same time...but does not bring up outdated connotations! Good Luck! From a 65 year old not worried about 20-somethings hogging in on our fun!

Hello! I am registered for the March 10th sailing. Is it too soon to start packing?
