A girlfriend and I are enrolled in the Sept 1-6 trip, flying to Portland. We'd love to be passengers in your vehicle for the ride to Skamokawa and will help with the gas. This sounds like a wonderful adventure. I'm in training now to develop upper body strength and will do some kayaking on Lake Tahoe before going to the Columbia River.

I'm seriously thinking about signing up for this trip. It's such a beautiful area. I would drive up from Gainesville FL.... and have done several RS trips solo. Always fun and have met some wonderful people. Will decide soon... after my RS trip to kayak at Amelia Island nx week.

I'm thinking of doing this trip from 6/30 -7/5. Going solo and first time doing Road Scholar. Any one else going solo and needing a roommate? I haven't checked into transportation yet. Any recommendations for transportation to the site? I'll be flying in to Portland.

I went on this trip in 2011 and also went solo and flew into Portland. Would love to go again but can't do it this year. I recommend it highly even if you are going solo.
