Looking for ride from Bangor airport June 20 or 21, 2015 to Campobello and return to Bangor airport June 26 or 27, 2015. Email: don@be4kids.org

I am driving to the Campobello program from Bangor airport on Sept 14, 2014.I would like to meet up with one or more people to share the driving. I welcome your response!
Lorraine Toly Aug 21, 2014 at 04:24 PM

Hi, Rachel -- Just saw your posts. I getting to Maine early so as to explore the coast a bit before the program. I will be in Bar Harbor for a couple of days before the program starts. There is a possibility that I could pick you up at Bangor airport, unless you are arriving very early. If interested in this possibility, let's discuss via email. Mine is ltoly@comcast.net.

I will be driving to Program #1485RJ, June 22-27, 2014, and be glad to pick up one or two people at the Bangor Airport since it is right on my way and, of course, return you back to the airport on Friday.
John Rhode Jun 20, 2014 at 07:02 PM

If you're overwhelmed by requests, Robert, I'll add the same offer. I'll be going past Bangor about noon-ish on Sunday, June 22, and returning on the Friday..
Robert Hooker Jun 21, 2014 at 09:45 AM

Well, as a matter of fact I've been underwhelmed. It seems that I made the offer too late and other participants have already made their arrangements.

I am going to the #1485 program Sept 14-19 at Campobello and would like to invite someone to share the ride from Bangor Airport to the island and back (in a rented car). Anyone interested?
I live in Rockville MD.

Thanks for contacting me, Rachel. With the problem of logistics in getting to Campobello Island I have decided not to go.. I think that RoadScholar needs to do a much better job of getting people to these out-of-the-way places.

Anne Schaetzke Jan 13, 2014 at 06:00 PM

Unless you're driving, it doesn't appear that there is any easy access to Campobello. The Bangor, ME airport and St. John, New Brunswick airport is about a 3-hr drive away. Any suggestions?
Joann Smith Jan 14, 2014 at 09:19 AM

When I went, everyone seemed to either drive their own car, or get a rental at the airport (which is handy for your free afternoon, Campobello is gorgeous, but sort of in the middle of nowhere).
Anne Schaetzke Jan 14, 2014 at 10:19 AM

That's what I thought, Joann. Thanks so much for your input. I appreciate it.

Joann Smith Jul 03, 2013 at 11:42 AM

Looking forward to the program! I'm crossing my fingers that the leaves will be starting to turn, so it'll be a pretty drive up from Massachusetts.
