Hello fellow kayakers-to-be !
I am embarking on the 10/18/15 trip.
Checked car rentals and found several rentals for a week out of the Portland airport for around $150. That is the cost of the round trip shuttle. Would anyone be arriving at the Portland airport the morning of the 18th that would like to share the cost of a rental? If we could get two or three others it would save and we could have a fun road trip to Skamokawa !

They will teach you any kayaking skills you need to know. Do bring fingerless gloves to prevent blisters. Enjoy the evening music!

Thanks! Got 'em! Looking forward to a great week!

My husband and I are enrolled in the Oct 4-8 program. Anyone have any tips for us as to what to expect? We have limited kayaking experience. Looking forward to a great time!

You usually get a detail program with times for the different activities the first day of your program.

Does anyone on the 7/5/15 trip want to carpool from Portland? We are planning on driving up on July 4 but could be flexible.

They provide boat, paddles, life jackets, skirts.
It is very warm under the skirt once you've put it on properly. I got wet once when at the beginning. Terrific time ahead for you. Don't hesitate to call them. I had never been close to a kayak before the trip, I needebd all the help I could get. Best people ever! Enjoy!
