Wife and I will arrive Rapid City around 1:30 PM Sun May 19 and will rent a car. We have room for two passengers to the Lodge for the Mount Rushmore, Black Hills trip, which begins later that day.

We have two couples attending May 10th. Larry and Jinkie from Little Rock AR. Paul and Peggy from Fearrington Vilage, NC. Paul and Peggy are seasoned Roads Scholar attendees. This is Larry and Jinkies first Roads Scholars trip. We are really excited about our trip. I am attending the program on July 28, and plan to arrive on Saturday, July 27. I would like to find others interested in going to Devils Tower as a day trip on July 28 before the official start of our program at dinner time. We could rent a car to share or go on a custom tour for about $99 per person. cjabeach@msn.com

Carol - I am coming to July 28 program - but - will be extending my stay for a couple of days with a couple of friends who will also be on the program afterwards, rather than before. We want to see Devils Tower too, but I also want to fulfill a lifelong dream - to attend a rodeo. So sorry, I can't join you on a day trip on the 28th but look forward to meeting you later that day. Sunday, June 16 - Anyone interested in sharing a ride with my wife and me from the airport to the site of the program? Our flight arrives in Rapid City (from Houston) at 10:55AM. Road Scholar material shows that commercial shuttle transportation costs $45/person for 1-2 people but $23/person for 3 or more. $23/person sounds better... :^}

I was there last year and caught the shuttle . There were a lot of other Road scholars waiting also and we all went together. Made the price much less. It was a wonderful trip!!
