I am a first time traveler with road scholar and will be attending the program from Oct. 4 to Oct. 9, 2015. I am flying in from Oakland, Ca into Midway on the 4th. Anyone else in this program?

Hi Hannah, Hope you enjoy your first Road Scholar trip. I have done 14 trips with RS and I did Chicago last May. It was a great trip. I met my friend from Boston in Chicago, it was half way for both of us. We spent 6 days with RS and then 5 days on our own. I do have a few suggestions for you whlle you are in Chicaco. 1) Navy Pier, be sure you visit the Stained Glass Museum, it is FREE. 2) Apollo Theater to see Million Dollar Quartet. You can prchase half priced tickets close to your hotel. Seven of us from our RS trip all went out to the Theater together. It is a short subway ride. The production was EXCELLENT. 3) Take a ride on the L train to the different Loops. My friend suggested going and so glad she did. Gives you a much different look at all the buildings. I hope you have a wonderful experience with your first trip on Road Scholar. Bonnie B., Santa Cruz, CA

My wife and I are attending the 6/21 program. Anyone interested in going to a Cubs Game (Mon, Tue, or Wed @ 7pm).

My husband and I are attending the 10/5 program. We'll fly into Midway/Chicago from San Francisco the day before the program starts (on 10/4) and plan to take the train "orange line" from Midway Airport to State & Lake exit-a short walk to the hotel.
